Vigga was a 20 year old female orca who was captured in Iceland on November 19, 1980. She passed away on August 14, 2000 at Marine World California.

Soon after Vigga's capture, she was purchased by the Vancouver Aquarium along with four other whales. Several months later, she was again sold, this time to Marine World Africa where she met Yaka. The two performed together and got along well. Vigga participated in waterworks and was a reliable performer. In 1985, both whales were moved to the parks new location in Vallejo, California. She and Yaka performed together until Yaka passed away in October 1997. The park hoped for another whale to join Vigga, but she became ill in August 2000. Vigga passed away on August 14 from a heart infection.
