Tuar is an 18 year old male orca who lives at SeaWorld San Antonio. His father is Tilikum and his mother is Kalina. He was born at SeaWorld Orlando on June 22, 1999.

In November 2000, another male orca was born who was named Tekoa. Tekoa's mother became aggressive towards him and he was soon also being raised by Tuar's mother. The two became very close and spent a lot of time together.

After he was transferred to San Antonio, Tuar and Tekoa drifted apart and Tekoa left several years later. Tuar has remained in Texas since.

He is quite dominant for a male orca. He is also growing very fast with his recent growth spurt. Tuar used to perform waterworks until they were stopped in 2010. He can be seen with any member of the pod, but spends most of his time with Kyuquot.
