Soon after Bjossa was captured, she was moved to the Vancouver Aquarium. There, she became pregnant with her first calf after mating with Hyak 2. She gave birth to a female calf on November 13, 1988. Unfortunately, her calf passed away on December 4, as Bjossa was unable to produce enough milk to nurse.

On September 30, 1991, Bjossa gave birth to her second daughter, K'yosha. The calf was again sired by Hyak. Once again, Bjossa could not produce enough milk and K'yosha was unable to to nurse normally. This lead to the trainers having to step in and feed her. Sadly, K'yosha also passed away on January 4, 1992. She passed away from a brain infection.

On March 8, 1995, Bjossa went into labor with her last calf and third daughter. Unfortunately, once she gave birth, the calf was a stillborn. Bjossa enjoyed the time she had with her calves and was a good mother. Unfortunately, she was never able to produce enough milk for them.

Bjossa's health started to decline in the late 90s. She was the only orca left at the Vancouver Aquarium and it was decided to send her to SeaWorld California to recieve medical help. Her health did improve and she eventually performed in shows with other orcas. She was also able to help take care of the young orca calf at the park. Unfortunately, in 2001, she started to become ill again and passed away in October.
